Slide Scanning

Slide Scanning will be offered as an imaging service at CALM. No user training will be provided!

To use our slide scanning service, users are asked to fill out the Slide Scanning Form on InfinityX and drop their properly cleaned and labeled slides with one of the CALM staff or at the table outside the facility manager’s office. Steps on accessing InfinityX can be found here.

Instrument Specifications

Our ZEISS Axioscan 7 is capable of imaging in brightfield, polarization and fluorescence modes. It possesses the following specifications:

Objectives: 5x – 0.15 NA (for overview acquisition); 10x – 0.45 NA; 20x – 0.8 NA

Light Source: Colibri 7 with the following LEDs (in nm): 385, 430, 475, 555, 590, 630, 735

Monochromatic Camera: AxioCam 712m (4096x3008px – 12MP) with pixel size of 3.45um

Colour Camera: AxioCam 705c (2464x2056px – 5MP) with pixel size of 3.45um
